Abstract/Description: Hand-colored postcard image shows view of pathway and foliage along the entrance to Elysian Park, the second largest city park in Los Angeles with over 548 acres, looking northeast toward the old Buena Vista Street Bridge over the Los Angeles River. The park land was set aside for public use when Los Angeles was founded in 1781 and still retains much of its natural chaparral landscape. Split-back postcard printed with "Published by VAN ORNUM COLORPRINT CO., LOS ANGELES, CAL." and "654."
