This collection includes materials donated to the Local History Center by Wendy DeView, daughter of John Vanderlip and granddaughter of Frank A. Vanderlip, the financier who purchased 16,000 acres of the Palos Verdes Peninsula in 1913. The photos and albums in this collection offer a glimpse of the Peninsula in general and the Vanderlip estate in particular during its earliest periods of development.
