Abstract/Description: Hand-colored postcard image shows view looking west up West Third Street from Main Street, with the Third Street tunnel visible in center, flanked by apartment and office buildings. Angel's Flight railway, which opened in 1901 and was dismantled in 1969, is to the left of the tunnel, and the observation tower can be seen in the distance above the tunnel. Pedestrians, streetcars and horse-drawn wagons are visible along Third Street. Postcard printed with "82" along bottom edge. Reverse of split-back printed with "Pub. by The Western Publishing & / Novelty Co., Los Angeles, Cal." and an encircled "TB" for the publishers Tichnor Brothers of Boston.
