| Abstract/Description: | Image shows view of the brick patio of the Oliver C. and Ruby Field residence located on lots 6, 7 & 8, block 1314, tract 6889 in Margate. The two-story, fourteen-room house has a shingle roof, three-car garage, two chimneys and patio entranceway. A long balcony overlooks the patio, which has a large olive tree and is decorated with several potted plants. Photo embossed with "LUCKHAUS" in lower right corner. Oliver C. Field founded the O.C. Field Gasoline Corporation in Huntington Beach. Ruby Field (1897-1998, née Hale), a local philanthropist, served on the Palos Verdes Library Board from 1934-1942 and 1951-1967. | |
