He is shown sitting behind a desk covered with papers, calendar, and ink well, and two candlestick style telephones on his left. Jay Lawyer first met Frank Vanderlip while working on a subdivision in Spokane, Washington, and acted as Mr. Vanderlip's representative in Palos Verdes. Jay Lawyer was also President of the Palos Verdes Golf Club.
