Abstract/Description: Image shows view of the Edward I. Martin residence under construction, located on Paseo del Mar on lot 7, block 1511, tract 6886 in Malaga Cove. View of the wood-frame, hollow-tile structure is from the corner of Paseo del Mar and Via Aromitas, with automobile parked along curb in front of house. The wall surrounding the enclosed garden, designed by the Olmsted brothers, is visible at right. According to the building permit card #129, the large Spanish style two-story home with attached three-car garage was built by the Palos Verdes Home Association as Project House #7. It is featured in the Palos Verdes Bulletin of April 1928, which includes a detailed plan of the house. The home was later owned by James de Silva.
