Martin Residence, 424 Paseo del Mar, Palos Verdes Estates.

Abstract/Description: Image shows view of the Edward I. Martin residence under construction, located on Paseo del Mar on lot 7, block 1511, tract 6886 in Malaga Cove. View of the wood-frame, hollow-tile structure is from the central patio, showing scaffolding, ladders, lumber and two gas cannisters. Gardens were designed by the Olmsted brothers. According to the building permit card #129, the large Spanish style two-story home with attached three-car garage was built by the Palos Verdes Home Association as Project House #7. It is featured in the Palos Verdes Bulletin of April 1928, which includes a detailed plan of the house. The home was later owned by James de Silva.
