| Abstract/Description: | Image shows partial view of the Frederick Law Olmsted Jr. residence, located on Rosita Place on lot 4, block 1600, tract 6885 (later resubdivided as lot 2, block 2 tract 10674) in Malaga Cove. View looking southwest shows north side of the Spanish-style Olmsted house fronting the sea, overlooking the edge of the 150-foot cliff. Malaga Cove School, which opened on April 5, 1926, is visible in center background, and La Venta Inn is visible in the distance above the school with newly constructed roads crossing the bare hillside below. The house was demolished in 1971 due to bluff erosion. | |
