Abstract/Description: Image shows view of the Mr. & Mrs. Roscoe M. Breeden [also spelled "Breedon"] residence, located on Via Aromitas on lot 1, block 1511, tract 6886 in Malaga Cove. Address on building permit card is given as 501 Via Almar. View looking southwest shows the two-story, ten-room stucco house with chimney and tile roof, facing the Santa Monica Bay. Garage with two arched entrances beneath front terrace visible at right, with stone retaining wall and olive trees in front yard. Two other residences are visible in background hills. An automobile is parked along curb with Via Aromitas in foreground. Also known as "Tres Olivos," the Breeden house was later the summer residence of Miss Aline Barnsdall (1929), oil heiress who also owned Hollyhock House, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. The Breeden residence was afterwards owned by Dr. Brox.
