Abstract/Description: Image shows view of the Mr. & Mrs. Roscoe M. Breeden [also spelled "Breedon"] residence, located on Via Aromitas on lot 1, block 1511, tract 6886 in Malaga Cove. Address on building permit card is given as 501 Via Almar. View looking northeast shows partial view of the two-story, ten-room stucco house with chimney and tile roof, with dense landscaping. The Haggarty estate is visible in the distance at right, with the Santa Monica Bay and shore in background. Also known as "Tres Olivos," the Breeden house was later the summer residence of Miss Aline Barnsdall (1929), oil heiress who also owned Hollyhock House, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. The Breeden residence was afterwards owned by Dr. Brox.
