Abstract/Description: Image shows view of John Pedersen residence, located on Via Ramon on lot 2 and a portion of lot 3, block 1713, tract 6885 in Malaga Cove. View shows corner of Via Campesina (left) and Via Ramon (right), with Pedersen houses in background, the "big" Hart house at right and "little" Hart house at left. An automobile is visible coming down Via Campesina at far left, with flowerbeds alongside the road and in foreground. Building permit records "L.A. Platt" as designer; photographs attribute Hammond Sadler as landscape architect. House, also known as the "Big" Hart house, was later sold (by 1929) to Alden L. and Anne I. Hart, who engaged the Olmsted brothers as landscape architects for the property. A second "Little" Hart residence was located at 2616 Via Campesina.
