| Abstract/Description: | Image shows interior view of Robert Galloway Paull's studio of interior decoration, located at no. 64 Malaga Cove Plaza in the Gardner Building (La Casa Primera), dedicated on September 13, 1925. Visible are rugs, lamps, chests, a buffet, and assorted tables and chairs over which are draped several floral fabric samples. Described in the Palos Verdes Bulletin (January 1929, p. 2) as offering "Expert advice on how to make the most of one's rooms, with an interesting display of fabrics and fine furniture." The Gardner building, built by W.W. Gardner, was the site of the first classrooms, which opened September 8, 1925, and library in the community. | |
