Abstract/Description: Image shows interior view of the Charles Henry and Cora Belle Cheney residence, located on Via del Monte on lots 15, 16, 17, and 18, block 1615, tract 6884 in Malaga Cove. View shows living room the two-story, stucco house with tile roof, chimney and attached two-car garage. Long view of living room shows stucco fireplace flanked by built-in bookcase, with open-beam ceilings and hardwood floors. A grand piano is in foreground at left, with three rugs are along center of room and a pair of facing sofas, drapped with blankets, are visible on either side of fireplace. Charles H. Cheney (1884-1943) was city planner for the Palos Verdes Project and served on the Palos Verdes Art Jury from its inception in 1922 through 1940. The home was sold in 1934, and later owned by Horton Walkins (nd.)
