| Abstract/Description: | Image shows unidentified officer of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Mounted Posse No. 3, Lennox Station mounted on a dark-colored horse with white markings, and holding a walkie-talkie. The Los Angeles Sheriff’s Mounted Posse No. 3, Lennox Station patrolled Rolling Hills, Rolling Hills Estates and unincorporated areas of the Palos Verdes Peninsula. It sponsored annual horse shows for youth which included riding competitions and demonstrations of rescues to acquaint youth with horsemanship and the activities of the Posse. | |
