| Abstract/Description: | Image shows view of the brick patio of the Oliver C. and Ruby Field residence located on lots 6, 7 & 8, block 1314, tract 6889 in Margate. The two-story, fourteen-room house has a shingle roof, three-car garage, two chimneys and patio entranceway. A long balcony overlooks the patio, which is decorated with several potted plants. Two sets of table and chairs are visible at center and right. Oliver C. Field founded the O.C. Field Gasoline Corporation in Huntington Beach. Ruby Field (1897-1998, née Hale), a local philanthropist, served on the Palos Verdes Library Board from 1934-1942 and 1951-1967. | |
