Abstract/Description: | Image shows group of women and children in front of a single-story wood structure home of the Palos Verdes Nihongo Gakuen. Image stamped with "Tanaka Studio / E. First St. / Los Angeles, CA" at center. The Palos Verdes Nihongo Gakuen was a Japanese language school established in 1926 in Palos Verdes. It was started with four teachers and eighty students. Students attended the language school on Saturdays during the regular school year and during summer vacation.
