Vaccine relief

'This photo was taken about 30 minutes after we received word we qualified to receive the vaccine and I rushed to make our appointments. A wave of relief rushed over me and I began to cry. My 3 year old was a bit startled to see me cry and wanted to cheer me up. I knelt down to hug him while holding his baby brother to tell him these were happy tears. “Mommy isn’t sad, bud. Mommy is very, very happy. Sometimes we cry because we are so happy and that’s okay! They’re happy tears.” Location: Gardena' , Your Story is the Peninsula's Story (YSPS) Online submission, March 13, 2021.
