George Chao
Abstract/Description: | George was born in Guiyang, China, during the Resistance Movement against the Japanese. After the war, he and his family fled to Taiwan where he obtained a degree in mechanical engineering. Upon graduation, he received a grant to study aeronautics at the California Institute of Technology, so he immigrated to the United States and settled in Southern California. After receiving his master’s degree in Aeronautics and Engineering, he worked for Jet Propulsion Laboratory, obtained a PHD at UCLA in Astrodynamics, then went on to work for the Aerospace Corporation and became one of the core members that worked on space research and development. This book was so successful and received raved reviews that he’s now working on its second edition. His innovations in satellite orbit control also earned him two U.S. Patents. George remains healthy today and actively practices tai chi which he teaches every weekend to over 100 students. Life in retirement is very enjoyable for him. Location: Rolling Hills Estates, CA. George’s message for the world: “Be peaceful and forget about war so everyone can live happily and harmoniously together. Don’t argue or fight over selfish gains. Let go of any grudges and stop worrying.” |
