Jay Kay
Abstract/Description: | Born in West Hollywood, California, Jay moved to Manhattan Beach when he was young then eventually settled in Long Beach. Being the middle child, he has a brother who’s four years older and a sister who’s ten years younger. His first job out of school was with North American Aviation in which he worked as a Draftsman and eventually worked his way up to become an Engineer. After a ten-year marriage to a woman who became an alcoholic, he left with his beautiful daughter who supports him everyday. Though Jay had always been a bit of an introvert, he joined the Singles Club after his divorce. Eventually he met a woman who introduced him to the Unitarian Universalist Church that was not a traditional church that preached dogmas. It was a family in which he felt welcomed and accepted, and he has been with the church ever since. Jay also loves to collect vintage Kodak cameras and has written a manual on different types of Kodak Vest Pocket Cameras called Vest Pocket Kodak Camera, 1912 – 1935, a Guide. Location: Seal Beach, CA. Jay’s message for the world: “Savor love over hate. Remove hate as much as you can because it doesn’t produce anything and it doesn’t help. Be happy as much as you can.” |
