Mrs. Lung

Born in Nanjing, China, Mrs. Lung fled to Taiwan at a young age with her family during the war. In 1972 she immigrated to the U.S. with her two daughters and one son so her kids could seek better education. They first moved to New Jersey where she worked for a medical equipment manufacturer. Life was very hard as she had to work two jobs to support her kids while her husband remained in Taiwan for work. When her children moved out to California to continue their education, she moved out here with them.

Mrs. Lung retired at the age of 62. During her 50s, her husband passed away. In her 60s, her son unfortunately passed away as well due to a brain tumor. However, Mrs. Lung remains optimistic about life. She now spends time volunteering at a charity organization and is part of a senior club where members meet every Tuesday. Location: Torrance, CA.

Mrs. Lung’s message for the world:
“I wish for world peace, and that everyone has food to eat.”
