It was created to protect the flora and fauna and encourage residents to plant native plants. The children in the second photo were releasing butterflies on the milkweed plant. The garden isn't there any more. There was a landslide and the garden slide away. Don Gales was a big part of the native plant garden. He lead nature hikes through Rolling Hills.
