An arched entrance to enclosed patio is visible at right, with driveway to attached garage visible at left and newly planted landscaping, designed by the Olmsted Brothers, Frederick Law Olmsted Jr. (1870-1957) and John Charles Olmsted (1852-1920.) At left is the Charles H. Cheney residence, located at 657 Via del Monte. Santa Monica Bay is visible in background. This home is said to have received an honor award from the Southern California chapter of the American Institute of Architects for residences of seven to fifteen rooms, 1927-1929.
