View is of the walled rose garden, looking northwest, with brick walkways leading to arched doorway in garden wall. Entranceway to the home's library is visible at right. The tower from the Haggarty estate is visible in background. Gardens were designed by the Olmsted brothers. According to the building permit card #129, the large Spanish style two-story home with attached three-car garage was built by the Palos Verdes Home Association as Project House #7. It is featured in the Palos Verdes Bulletin of April 1928, which includes a detailed plan of the house.
