View is of the walled rose garden, looking southeast, with brick walkways leading to arched doorway in garden wall. Entranceway to the guest room is visible at left. Gardens were designed by the Olmsted brothers. According to the building permit card #129, the large Spanish style two-story home with attached three-car garage was built by the Palos Verdes Home Association as Project House #7. It is featured in the Palos Verdes Bulletin of April 1928, which includes a detailed plan of the house.
