Donald Lawyer was the Sales Manager for the Palos Verdes Project, 1928/29. The house received the Palos Verdes Art Jury honorable mention award for Best Architecture of 1927. It was later owned by Hans Frederick Bernard ("H.F.B." aka "Fred") Roessler (1893-1965), first mayor of Palos Verdes Estates, and his wife, Edna (1894-1987), and then later by Peter and Jeanne (née Roessler, daughter of H.F.B. Roessler) Prince.
