CollectionYour Story is the Peninsula's Story CollectionDateca 1981Description'When Ronald Reagan was inaugurated Janet Collins wrote him a letter and asked to visit the White House [with the students]. This was the picture from that visit in the Map Room at the White House. Reagan spent about 35 minutes with the group of students. He told them a story about the Abraham Lincoln and Thomas Jefferson memorials. He got strength and inspiration when he walked passed them everyday. This was for grades three to six.
