We were the first to sign a lease. This was for our store, the Mermaid's Dowry. After a month, we did so well, we signed up for another space, tripling our size. Our second shop was in the Sierra Nevada, called Baskets Aboard the Boat. One year my husband created an underwater Christmas tree so you could see it as you walked along the gangway. He was very clever.
