My brothers are wearing Hang Ten shirts. We'd been in the United States for about seven years and just settling into life in the U.S. We moved to the Peninsula from Torrance in 1981. This photo reminds me that my parents used the initials ROK to name us. Photographed: Jean Kwon (contributor's mother), Rosa Kwon Easton (contributor), Kenneth Kwon (contributor's brother), Oliver Kwon (contributor's brother) and David Kwon (contributor's father).
