They are standing in front of the Flotsam Castle. The castle was on the beach just at the border of Palos Verdes Estates and was built entirely of driftwood. Inscribed on the back of the image is "Flotsam Castle - built of driftwood. Moonstone beach July 15-1923. Left to right: Mildred, Arthur, Filson." This is Uncle Arthur's handwriting.
