Identified from left to right in back row: Nobutaka Watanabe, Shigenori Watanabe, unknown, Masao Watanabe; and front row: Yasu Fred Ashimoto (donor's grandfather), Sachiko Josephine Ashimoto (donor's mother), Masao Phillip Ashimoto (donor's uncle), Tatsuno Susanna Ashimoto (donor's grandmother), Fusako Anna Ashimoto (donor's aunt), Mrs. Asano Watanabe, and Haruye Watanabe. Originally from Tottori Prefecture in Japan, the Ashimoto family was farming on the Palos Verdes Peninsula by 1930. In February 1942, the Ashimoto family moved from the coast to Strathmore in Tulare, County. By July 1942, the family was interned in Poston, Arizona.
