Identified from left to right in back row: Harry Iba, Masao Phillip Ashimoto (donor's uncle), Shigeru Iba, Shodo Iba; and in front row: Mary Kubota, Fusako Anna Ashimoto (donor's aunt), and Mildred Kubota. Originally from Tottori Prefecture in Japan, the Ashimoto family was farming on the Palos Verdes Peninsula by 1930. In February 1942, the Ashimoto family moved from the coast to Strathmore in Tulare, County. By July 1942, the family was interned in Poston, Arizona.
