DescriptionGrace Tressler, an 8th grader, was a Girl Scout. She worked with two other scouts on a project to earn the Silver Award. Grace’s mother, Margaret, was a volunteer with the Palos Verdes Peninsula Village and told Grace about the need of a PVP Village member to help her declutter her garage. Grace and her two Girl Scout friends, Nozomi Dane and Shivani Sharma, determined that the job would qualify for the Silver Award and volunteered to do the work. The project was a great success, and the girls proudly
displayed their silver medals. Grace also volunteered for other PVP Village members with technical work, shopping and putting away groceries, and packing up a. members home and with Grace’s mother’s help, bringing many items to Good Will.
In 2023, Grace achieved the Girl Scout Gold Award, volunteering for 100 hours, and as a result, she got to participate in the Rose Parade. She went
