Since the Coronavirus could be easily spread by contact, it was safer for the staff to bag groceries this way. They also encouraged people who were feeling sick to reconsider entering the store for the health of everyone. The day after this image was taken, the City of Rancho Palos Verdes sadly reported the first death of a resident due to the Coronavirus.
