View shows front entrance, looking out onto the enclosed patio of single-story, seven-room stucco house with tile roof. Framed by an interior doorway, a tile floor is visible, with a carved wooden bench at left and a lantern hanging from exposed beam ceiling. The patio's arched entranceway is visible in background. Landscaping was designed by the Olmsted Brothers, Frederick Law Olmsted Jr. (1870-1957) and John Charles Olmsted (1852-1920.) This home is said to have received an honor award from the Southern California chapter of the American Institute of Architects for residences of seven to fifteen rooms, 1927-1929.
