CollectionPalos Verdes Project Promotional Material CollectionDateca 1927CreatorPalos Verdes ProjectDescriptionFolded brochure on gray-colored paper with an image of the cover showing the southwest side of the Gardner Building. Brochure interior reads: "The stores and shops at Palos Verdes Estates are being housed in modern buildings around open squares, but the effect, when these arcaded plazas are completed, will remind one of the centuries-old towns of picturesque Spain. The wisdom of the management in respect to restrictions and zoning will become increasingly apparent with the passing years. Only sufficient property has been zoned for business to provide for the maximum population, when the Estates are fully populated. Shops are within convenient reach when needed, but residential neighborhoods will always be free from stores and apartments."NotesDigitized by the California Preservation Program through California Revealed, a project funded in part by the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act, administered in California by the State Librarian.LanguageengFormat3 pagesHeld ByPalos Verdes Library District.
