Fort MacArthur

In 2023-2024, students at Eastern Washington University with Geosciences professor Dr. Stacy Warren created an interactive map called Fort MacArthur Harbor Defenses.  The interactive map shows WWII-era forts and facilities including batteries, search lights, fire control stations and radio towers along the Peninsula.  The Coastal Overview link shows just how extensive defensive facilities were on the Palos Verdes Peninsula.
