CollectionLocal History Center General Photo CollectionDate1970-08-14DescriptionImage shows views of the recently completed Los Angeles County Fire Department, Station 106 building located at 27913 Indian Peak Road in Rolling Hill Estates. A firetruck is visible inside the structure. The 6,000 square-foot single-story brick facility was designed by architects Black, Pagliuso, Kikuchi and O'Dowd and featured four units of firefighting vehicles, sleeping quarters for 16 firefighters, and a combination kitchen-recreation area. Station 106 was the first fire station in the City of Rolling Hills Estates and the fourth on the Peninsula.
